Very convenient for boiling water. I tested it myself: 500ml of alcohol lasts for over 4 hours on low-medium heat. It takes about 7 minutes to boil 500ml of water normally, or just 3 minutes on high heat.

The quality is excellent—it feels heavy and substantial in the hand, not flimsy at all. The flame is strong and burns pure blue, so it doesn't blacken the bottom of my pots. The seller was also very helpful and reminded me to use 99% food-grade alcohol. Great service!

The classic size steamer is perfect for one or two people. Ibought it because it is simple, purley mechanicl with no electricity and plastic parts. And, it is a functional work of art that astounds me; all billet steel and welded, brass and rosewood.
I paired it as suggested with the alcohol stove, that is pressurized using a bicycle pump(!) and the brass heat generator is heavy-duty. Indoor use, or extreme cold use, this is an awesome stove when vaporized fuel is turned up. It gets hot!
